For this project, we were funded by Arts Council England to do activities for celebrating the Queen s Jubilee.
We practiced our traditional muchongoyo dance for 2months and it culminated in a big Jubilee event on the 4th of June. We decorated the venue with Jubilee decorations and also prepared a big meal for our guests. There was music, fashion, and speeches. Our MC was Zuwa and the event was attended by 2 Mayors. Mayor of Corby Tafadzwa Chikoto and Mayor of Northampton, Cllr Dennis Meredith.
